Sing

Ya know, I think I'll be able to make it to Singapore next week.

The number of times I've been to Singapore can still be counted on the fingers on one hand.

Here are the things I like about Singapore:

1. Cheap footy gear. I bought shin guards and keeper gloves (Queens Way?) on my last visit. It's becoming increasingly difficult in KL to find shinnies I like. Full size with ankle guards attached. If I have the time I may go just to buy a new pair. And I will definitely buy new footy shoes too.

2. Babes. Singapore has a lot of beautiful people. Well, as far as I know. I only ogle women.

3. Transport. I have no idea about the geography of Singapore. Put on the street, I'd get lost and die of thirst and starvation somewhere far from where I need to go. But it's beautiful. I get on the feeder bus from my sister's place, end up at a train station and hop on the train to get where I need to go.

4. Good food. The advantage of having friends and family in Singapore is that they know where to eat. And I've not been disappointed at all.

5. Free accomodation. Thanks sis!

Here I come?

Hi, Glad that you enjoy your trip to Singapore. Yes Queensway is a good place to shop for funky & sports apparel.
Another plc you can go is Far East Plaza.

WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!

And are you going to have the chicken rice along east coast?

You should also try the Chicken Cutlet Hor fun at Changi Village Hawker Centre... it's a little far to go but it's GOOOD YUMMY YUMMY!!

Darn, I typed a rather long comment and Blogger chose to eat it up.

Anyhoo - WELCOME to Singapore! (In advance.)

Excellent timing, I must say - because it is currently the Great Singapore Sale here now, so anywhere will be a shopping paradise, especially the heart of town.

I'd agree with the previous commentor that Far East Plaza woll be a good place to shop. Likewise, I will recommend Bugis Street for cheap apparel (and a wide variety too, I daresay) and Chinatown - although the latter offers less than the former.

Have fun while you're here!

(P/S: It was only recently where I discovered that you've awarded me with the 'Thinking Blogger Award' in your earlier entries. (I'm slow. :() I'm extremely honoured. Thanks so much!)

Thank you, thank you. I haven't even made it over yet and I already feel welcome! :)

I will be having chicken rice in Toa Payoh for sure. I had it during my last trip and enjoyed it so much that it's got to be done again.

I'll see just how much shopping I can get in. Priority is a new pair of futsal shoes. Puma, of course!

I shall have to see how much I can fit into this visit because I'm heading south for a uni buddy's wedding.

Jen, I find that hard to believe but will take your word for it! ;)

Sorry that Blogger ate up your first comment, Brenda. It's happened to be before as well and it's exasperating. And you're welcome about the award. You deserve it.

I haven''t been to Sg for more than 2 years!! Hope to go there end of this year.
I frequented the place in my previous job~ You are right, the woman population there are always polished and well dressed, even when they're taking the bus, not like here~ I don't know how they manage with a hot weather..
Have a nice trip yeah~

Thank you, Ben! ;)

LOL! Well Nick, I thought my 20 year gap between visits, 1993 - 2003 was bad! Not bad, since 2003, with this visit, I'll have been to Sg 3 times!

Hiya Erin. I do know you're in Singapore. I'm not actually there yet. I had intended to be there Wednesday but looks like it'll be Thursday instead.

It'll be really funny if I bump into you over in Singapore but I suppose stranger things have happened.

Actually, the first thing that came to mind after I saw your comment was that we could sit down over a coffee and NOT risk arrest. If you remember the exchanges flying around concerning a couple of your posts a little while back! ;)

Oh.. Okay.. Sounds cool. Seems like a lot of people are coming to Spore this week. Good for me! :)

It wouldn't be too strange but given that I don't live on Orchard road the way I did previously, it'd be a tad bit more difficult. Been staying at home the past 3 days I've been here.

Ya, it'll be much safer here. Haha!
