I have done that many times in pure desperation! Though I must say I recomend red wine.
This is a white because I was cooking with it. I went out, bought everything I needed and came home to cook only to find I didn't have a corkscrew (I've just moved house). After much cursing I thought about this and it worked. It's cool you've done it too. Desperation drives invention! LOL!
You should invest in a sabre !!
Like they used to you know, cut the bottle! Hahaha!! A corkscrew is a must (put it on your keychain?)in every household.

I was wondering how you did the opening! Well, at least you did not go floor to floor, door to door.
aiyorr.. same larrr i try that before. u imagine i girl sumore.. damn sakit u know my hands. in the end u guess what i did? i hammer the bottle wasted half bottle of wine. =.=
